I bought this as there was a WiFi weak spot next to my main room TV and streaming to the TV was constantly buffering on my Android Box, I was a little dubious about buying it but as the price was so reasonable I thought it worth trying, it works very well and I no longer have a buffering problem at all. I would recommend this Tenda Repeater for anyone with a similar problem.

Lets hit the main drawback first, on 5GHz it only supports the "open" channel 36-48 region, which can be crowded while the higher (DFS required) channels are often empty.
I am using it in wired client mode (part of the repeater mode function), and getting a quite creditable performance, 94Mbps in 20MHz channel N standard at 5GHz (with a VM SHUB 2, no AC mode), so while it is only single stream AC433, it does do dual stream in 5GHz N - for up to 300Mb at 40MHz and up to 144 at 20MHz, so my achieved speed is pretty good.
NB. When repeating to a WiFi, rather than tapping off for a wired station, the maximum possible throughput is halved.
