It may seem that only yesterday SanDisk announced the world’s first 400GB microSD card and that’s because they only announced it 6 months ago, but now SanDisk are back and have released a brand new 400GB capacity microSD and takes it now boasts the world’s fastest UHS-I microSD card” title with up to 160 MB/s sequential read performance.

SanDisk says the new model is 50% faster than the previous generation. Sequential write performance tops 90MB/s, according to the company’s internal testing. The SanDisk Extreme UHS-I microSD Card meets or exceeds the A2 specification for random performance used to launch apps at high speeds on mobile devices.

To tell them apart, look for the A2 certification on the card and the new model is red and gold rather than red and silver.
