Kingston has just unveiled a new addition to their collection of USB Flash Drive’s – with the launch of the IronKey D300.

Featuring an advanced level of security, the new drive has been designed to safeguard sensitive information, by building upon the features that made the IronKey well-respected.

It is FIPS 140-2 Level 3 certified and TAA compliant so you can rest assured that the IronKey D300 meets the most frequently requested corporate and government IT requirements. In addition to this, the IronKey has 256-bit AES hardware-based encryption in XTS mode – meaning no one will be able to access the data that you have stored on the drive without knowing the password. Encryption and decryption are all done of the drive itself, so it leaves no trace on the host system.

For added peace of mind, the IronKey utilises digitally signed firmware, which makes it immune to BadUSB, and enforces complex password protection. The drive will lock down after 10 invalid password attempts to protect against any attacks or unauthorized access.

The IronKey D300:

The IronKey D300 combines a zinc casing and tamper-evident epoxy seal to create a rugged and secure design. With this physical security, you can be certain that the drive will be able to hold up, even in the most challenging situations. Alongside being easy to use, the device is also waterproof up to 1.2 meters.

The utilisation of SuperSpeed (USB 3.0) technology means that you don’t have to compromise on speed for security. By combining fast data transfers and the brand’s expertise in the latest Flash memory, NAND Flash and controller technology, you can be sure confident in Kingston’s latest IronKey USB.

The IronKey Serialised (S) Models – D300S & D300SM:

The IronKey D300S / D300SM models bring two additional features on top of Kingston’s industry-leading data protection. These serialised models contain a unique serial number and barcode printed on the flash drive. This feature will allow network administrators to easily read or scan the code instead of having to plug in the drive to find out its unique serial number. This will inevitably save time and ensure that the drive can be found quickly if it becomes lost.

The IronKey Managed Models – D300M/D300SM:

Also available in a Managed model, the IronKey D300M/D300SM, requires IronKey EMS and SafeConsole by DataLocker. This component will allow central management of access and manage across a great number of drives.

This will run on either cloud-based or on-premises and will allow administrators to disable lost or stolen drives, recover passwords and more.
