Desktop Hard Drives

Desktop Hard Drives

As digital content such as music, video, photos and games becomes more integrated into everyday life, the idea of static data storage is becoming obsolete. In today’s on-demand world, you want to access, share and secure your digital content using dynamic storage solutions that give you the freedom to create, interact and do business - anytime, anywhere.

Our desktop hard disk drives give you the confidence and peace of mind that all your valuable data can be safely transferred to and from your PC.

What does a desktop hard drive do?

A desktop hard drive is an external device used for storing or backing up important files stored internally on your computer. They are usually connected via USB and can hold a huge amount of data outside of your internal hard drive. This makes them perfect for backing up large volumes of work and media.

As well as extra space for all your photos, videos and documents, a desktop hard drive will provide you with additional security and peace of mind. Being able to back up your valuable data and media means it will be easy to recover in the event that your computer’s internal hard drive becomes corrupted.

What capacity are desktop hard drives?

Most hard drives store around 3TB of data, which holds up to 2,500,000 photos, 600,000 songs or 750 movies. We supply desktop hard drives with up to 6TB of storage capacity, allowing you to store whole music collections and photo albums without coming close to running out of space.

Are desktop hard drives compatible with laptops?

Most external desktop hard drives will also work on a laptop. However, you may need to use an adaptor or additional power supply depending on the type of hard drive you choose. The Verbatim Store’n’Go USB Portable Hard Drive is compatible with both laptop and desktop computers, without the need for external power.

If you want to back up or store large volumes of work, photos or media files, look no further than our range of desktop hard drives.
