Top five iPad accessories listed31 December 2010 15:35:15
A leading technology site has listed its top five iPad accessories currently on the market.
According to Joel Evans of Zdnet.com, there are a number of quality iPad accessories available, but there are five that stand out above the others.
When it comes to cases, he recommends the ZooGue Smart Kase, which he says has better functionality than any other case on the market.
This is because it also acts as a stand for the iPad and allows the user to adjust it to any angle they choose.
Mr Evans's second choice in the list of top iPad accessories is the PropUp, a convex shaped accessory that attaches to the back of the iPad allowing it to stand up at a convenient angle on almost any surface.
Similarly, he recommends the iCarpus, a highly flexible and lightweight stand for the iPad that can even fit onto iPads with cases on.
Finally, the technology writer advises iPad owners invest in one of two specially designed styluses.
First is the Just Mobile AluPen, which features a chunky design for ease of use. The second is the PoGo Stylus, which has a more streamlined design.
The PoGo Stylus was also recently listed by Engadget.com as one of its top iPad accessories.
Xbox 360 wins console showdown31 December 2010 15:32:47
Microsoft's Xbox 360 console saw the best game releases in 2010 compared to its rivals, it has been claimed.
According to leading technology website IGN.com, there were more high quality game releases on the Xbox 360 than on the Sony PS3 and Nintendo Wii this year, leading the site to name it the winner of its 2010 Console Showdown.
The result was based on the number of games on each console that had gained high review scores from IGN during 2010.
For example, 72 Xbox 360 games were rated as scoring eight out of ten or above, compared to 34 for the Wii and 63 for the PS3.
When only those games which got a score of nine or over are taken into account, the Xbox 360 still comes out on top with 19, compared to 13 for the PS3 and eight for the Wii.
Some of the critically acclaimed games to be released on the Xbox 360 this year have included Halo: Reach and Splinter Cell: Conviction.
