Microsoft to release special edition 250GB Xbox 360 with Kinect10 September 2010 15:30:37
A special edition Xbox 360 console with 250GB of hard drive space is to be released as part of a package with Microsoft's new Kinect gaming system.
Available for a limited period, the console package will also come with a copy of the Kinect Adventures game.
Kinect, which is released in the UK on November 10th, is a motion-based control system in which players use body movements to perform actions in games without the need for a traditional controller.
Over 15 Kinect-based titles will be available upon the products release, including Kinect Sports, driving game Kinect Joy Ride and fitness title Your Shape: Fitness Evolved.
Chris Lewis, vice president of Microsoft Europe's interactive entertainment business, recently said of Kinect's launch: "This year will see our gaming experiences transform to provide players with the ultimate entertainment experience.
"We have the best developers on board to bring new and exciting experiences for everyone to Xbox 360."
Sony is also bringing out a motion control device this year, called the PS Move.
