Gamers who like their music to feature heavy guitar riffs and pounding drums may want to know that We Sing Rock! is now available for the Nintendo Wii.

The karaoke title from Nordic Games covers all areas of the genre from more modern emo and indie tracks to bona fide heavy metal classics.

Songs featured in the game include My Chemical Romance's Welcome to the Black Parade, Free's All Right Now and I Believe in a Thing Called Love by The Darkness.

"This is the closest we have come to a lounge-trashing game," said Nik Blower, sales and marketing director at the company.

It is the perfect title to enjoy some head-banging action in the living room, he added.

We Sing Rock! can be played in solo or karaoke mode and players can fine tune their voices via the game's inbuilt singing lessons.

Gamers without a Wii system could experience similar thrills from Rock Band 3, which is available on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles.
