Belkin wins award for iPad accessory17 November 2010 15:30:17

The recently released Grip 360 + Stand from Belkin has won an award for innovation, it has been announced.

Belkin has received the CES Innovations 2011 Design and Engineering Best of Innovations Award in the Portable Multimedia Accessories product category.

Unveiled earlier this month, the Grip 360 + is a three-in-one carrying case, handheld case and stand for the iPad.

It comes with a flexible detachable strap that can be used to carry the tablet computer or replaced with a stand to support it on a flat surface.

The Innovations Design and Engineering Awards are sponsored by the Consumer Electronics Association and endorsed by the Industrial Designers Society of America.

Entries are judged by a panel of independent industrial designers and engineers as well as members of the trade press.

A range of other Belkin products were given Innovation Honoree status by the judges, including the Conserve Insight energy monitor and the Play N600 HD wireless dual-band router.
