The Play N600 HD router from Belkin has been recommended as a great value gift for technology lovers.

In an article for the Montreal Gazette, journalist Seve Markis claims that technology products can make excellent gifts and picks some of his favourites on the market today.

Among his selection is the Belkin N600 HD router.

It uses Dual-Band N technology to increase bandwidth, allowing users to stream HD videos, play games online and download large media files much more easily, reaching speeds of up to 300Mbps.

Furthermore, it features 3D network coverage, meaning a strong signal can be picked up on different floors of a house, and it has self-healing technology that detects and resolves network problems.

"Belkin's self-healing Play N600 HD router … handles fast wireless in a two-storey home and basement and comes with a slew of software, such as daily DJ music mixes, digital song labeller and backup utilities for attached external USB drives. You can program it to download at the fastest possible speed from selected sites," writes Mr Markis.
