Asus Eee Pad Transformer gets rave reviews20 May 2011 16:46:43
The Asus Eee Pad Transformer tablet is now available in the UK and has already been receiving rave reviews.
Using an innovative new design, the Transformer comes with a separate keyboard dock that means the device can either be used as a tablet or plugged into the keyboard to become a conventional laptop.
The keyboard dock comes with a MicroSD card slot for use with memory cards, as well as USB ports, meaning USB memory sticks are also compatible.
Reviewing the Transformer for pocket-lint.com, technology journalist Chris Hall commented: "Drawing out a verdict on the Asus Eee Pad Transformer isn't as tricky as it might seem - we love it.
"Support for MicroSD cards from the off is to their (Asus's) credit," he adds.
These views echoed by zdnet.co.uk reviewer Sandra Vogel, who awards the device eight out of ten.
"The Asus Eee Pad Transformer is an impressive marriage of tablet and keyboard," she says.
