Thor and Captain America coming to PS3, Xbox and 3DS18 March 2011 15:22:48
Sega has announced that its two upcoming superhero games Thor and Captain America will be released in 3D for both the PS3 and Xbox 360.
Furthermore, the publisher revealed both titles will be released on Nintendo's new 3D-capable handheld console the 3DS.
"Playing as Captain America with bullets whizzing past in stereoscopic 3D and having a titanic Frost Giant charge straight at you in Thor will bring an unprecedented level of adrenaline to the gameplay experience," said Gary Knight, senior vice president of marketing at Sega.
"When you combine the triple threat of epic gameplay, hall of fame franchises from Marvel, and outstanding 3D visuals, it’s clear that Thor: God of Thunder and Captain America: Super Soldier comprise a new class of super hero game."
Thor: God of Thunder is due for release on May 3rd, while Captain America: Super Soldier is out on June 19th, but 3DS releases for both games will not take place until later in the year.
The titles will also be available on the Nintendo Wii and DS at launch.
