Samsung unveils 20-nanometer-class micro SD cards30 June 2011 11:17:50

New 32GB micro SD cards are being launched by Samsung Electronics, with the devices potentially proving useful to owners of 4G smartphone products.

According to the organisation, advanced data transfer speeds are due to be a feature of the new cards, which are 20-nanometer-class.

Samsung Electronics executive vice-president for memory sales and marketing Wanhoon Hong suggested that high-class-rated memory cards are currently seeing decent levels of industry demand.

He stated: "As the industry adopts micro SD cards with a class ten rating, the superior data transfer speeds are expected to improve the mobile user experience tremendously."

Among the card's features are 32Gb 3-bit NAND flash memory chips, Samsung also confirmed.

Micro SD capabilities are also set to be offered to people by the new Motorola Xoom device from Motorola Mobility India Private Limited.
