What do PC games and Katy Perry have in common?... Well, quite a lot it turns out. I Kissed A Girl, California Gurls and E.T singer Katy Perry has signed an exclusive deal with gaming giant EA which will see her featured in the latest Sims 3 expansion pack The Sims 3 Showtime.

The collectors edition of The Sims 3 Showtime will include a downloadable venue, plus a Katy Perry themed hairstyle, outfits, guitar, fruit-themed stage props, and an exclusive poster.

"Share your rise to fame in The Sims 3 Showtime Katy Perry Collector’s Edition with unique Katy Perry themed in-game content... Your Sim can become a superstar singer, acrobat, or magician and even moonlight as a DJ. New, optional features allow you to connect with friends and share your showtime moments through in-game newsfeeds, messaging, and live updates".

The Sims 3 Showtime is due to be released March 2012 and will available exclusively on the PC and will require the Sims 3 game to play.
