Complete Star Wars saga coming to Blu-Ray

Complete Star Wars saga coming to Blu-Ray11 January 2011 15:27:27

Twentieth Century Fox is to release the complete Star Wars saga on one Blu-Ray boxset for the first time, it has been announced.

All six of George Lucas's blockbuster films will be released alongside three additional discs containing more than 30 hours of extensive special features.

This will include never-before-seen deleted and alternate scenes and an exploration of the exclusive Star Wars archives.

Two other boxsets, one containing the original three films (Episodes IV-VI) and one with the prequel films (Episodes I-III), will be released at the same time.

"The Star Wars Saga is the most anticipated Blu-Ray collection since the launch of the high-def format," commented Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment president Mike Dunn at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas last week..

"The epic franchise pioneered sound and visual presentation in theatres and is perfectly suited to do it again in the home, with a viewing experience only possible with Blu-Ray."

Star Wars: The Complete Saga is due to be released on September 26th. ADNFCR-2752-ID-800335235-ADNFCR
