Special edition of Duke Nukem Forever to be released14 February 2011 15:38:41

A special edition of the upcoming PS3, Xbox 360 and PC game Duke Nukem Forever is to be released, it has been announced.

Called Duke Nukem Forver Balls of Steel, it will be released on the same day the standard version comes to the UK on May 3rd.

This edition contains a copy of the game with exclusive Balls of Steel cover art and a number of extra items, such as a collectible bust of the game's protagonist and a numbered limited-edition certificate of authenticity.

It will also include a 100-page hardcover book titled The History, Legacy & Legend: Duke Nukem Forever Art from the Vault

Duke Nukem Forever is the latest title of the long-running Duke Nukem series, which was first created back in 1991. It is a direct sequel to the 1996 release Duke Nukem 3D.

Commenting on the game, Christoph Hartmann, president of publisher 2K games, said recently: "May 3rd, 2011 marks Duke's return as he unleashes his brash and brutally honest wit on the world. His return is going to be epic and one that will make video gaming history."
