Archos 101 tablet a 'significant alternative' to iPad 2 February 2011 15:29:21
The 101 tablet from Archos has been dubbed as a "significant alternative" to Apple's iPad.
In a review for pocket-lint.com, technology journalist Paul Lester says he was impressed with the tablet, awarding it four stars out of five.
He says that it provides a good range of functionality, while also being stylish, at a much lower cost than the iPad.
The 101 tablet features an Android 2.2 operating system, a 10.1 inch screen as well as Bluetooth and wi-fi connectivity.
"If you're in the market for a tablet and are considering alternatives to the iPad, Archos makes it very simple. The 101 is far cheaper, far more flexible and far more 'open' than its main rival," he said.
It follows another growing review, from Reghardware.com's Alun Taylor, who gave the tablet an impressive score of 85 out of 100, describing it as the only tablet currently on the market he would consider buying.
