New SDHC card unveiled by Kingston19 February 2010 16:17:44
Kingston has released a new high-speed, high-capacity SDHC memory card.
The new card has a Class 10 speed rating, meaning it is guaranteed to reach a data transfer speed of 10 MB/s.
However, Kingston claims the card has an enhanced performance of up to 22MB/s read and 18MBs write speeds.
It is available in capacities 16GB and 32GB and will commence shipping on February 26th.
According to the manufacturer, its high capacity makes the new card ideally suited to camcorders, digital SLRs and advanced point and shoot cameras.
Wendy Lecot, Kingston's Flash card business manager, said: "As viewing and recording in high definition becomes more popular, the Kingston SDHC Class 10 card's large storage capability allows users to record hours of video on a single card,"
"The Class 10 speed helps photographers optimize their equipment when it comes to shooting in burst mode as the memory card keeps up with sequential capture."
It is the second product to be released by Kingston this week, with a new 16GB, Class 10 Micro SDHC card also announced.
